Peter Tosh was the ultimate Rastafari/Reggae Revolutionary. Once described as "Che Guevara with a band", Peter Tosh was undoubtedly a planetary personality of no mean order. Apart from Bob Marley, the radical Tosh is still the next best known Rootz Reggae performer all over the globe and his reputation as an uncompromising Third World icon and advocate continues to grow out of the 20th century and into the 21st. Besides being an avid user of Herb for its spiritual and medicinal benefits, the self proclaimed "Bush Doctor" was also a self-proclaimed "Walking Billboard" for the relaxation/elimination of restrictive Marijuana laws. In addition, Peter Tosh was extremely knowledgeable about Jamaica's colonial history and about the fratricidal partisan politricks of modern day Jamaica. As a result, the tall Rootz Radix was the most articulate and most militant, anti-imperialist and anti-apartheid advocate of the three foundation Wailing Wailers. So despite mercurial bouts of intense attention from the mass media, the strong consciousness-raising and conscience-stirring songs of protest that Tosh is legendary for, continue to consistently inspire millions of people to maintain the fight to "Legalize It!" (i.e. Marijuana); and to keep up the fight for "Equal Rights and Justice" (i.e. Human Rights and Equal Protection under the Law.)
