 5 Feb 2010 - Teddy Dupay, former Mariner High and University of Florida basketball star latest venture is pushing for legalization of marijuana.
“Legalizing pot is the solution to our country’s economic problems,’’ says Dupay, “I tried pot three or four years ago,’’ Dupay said Thursday. “It was something that just never appealed to me.’’
If he were sick with cancer, and dope could lessen the pain, Dupay says, he would smoke one today.It’s not his job to inhale, but to lead the revolution. He is CEO of S’Boalnation, an advocacy group for marijuana legalization with an elaborate Web site marketing strategy and Dupay’s in-your-face salesmanship on YouTube. It launched in December.
“This isn’t about getting high,’’ he says on one of S’Boalnation videos. “It’s about doing what’s right.’
