The first motion picture by the creator of Family Guy and American Dad, Seth MacFarlene, will be making a sequel to his surprise hit Ted, announced a Universal Pictures spokesman.

 

A comedy movie, which centres on a grown man John, (played by Mark Wahlberg), who as a result of a childhood wish lives with an equally grown up stuffed teddy bear with the voice and wit of MacFarlane. After John's relationship of four years is threatened by his friendship with Ted, who has now become a lazy, obnoxious, degenerate stoner/acoholic, his girlfriend issues him the classic ultimatum: romance or bromance.

With box office sales of the first reaching unexpected highs, surely boosted by the fanbase of the creators numerous succesful comedies, it looks like the Family Guy team will have more to show in the way of typical stoner buddy motion pictures. During the 2012 American Dad comic-con panel, Seth MacFarlene announced that there will be a Ted 2.
