Famous Friends Of Cannabis is a magazine dedicated to collecting names and stories of known individuals and there relation with cannabis, whether industrial hemp, medicinal or recreational marijuana.  Editor-in-Chief, J.S. van der Stadt has been with Famous Friends of Cannabis since it's founding in 2003. Van der Stadt represented the website at the 20th High Times Cannabis Cup in 2007, when Famous Friends Of Cannabis was the first ever website to be entered into the product category.
From the end of 2007 until 2009 he was also Editor of the English-language newspaper Free Amsterdam, which was published four times a year throughout the capital of the Netherlands, and had a circulation of over 35,000 copies. In every issue Friends of Cannabis was given a two-page spread, covering news and background stories. Free Amsterdam still lives on online, and can be found at freeamsterdam.nl 
During 2010, van der Stadt provided a weekly Famous Friends Of Cannabis column on the radio show Cannabis Talk, broadcasted on Amsterdam FM radio and internet by Radio Free Amsterdam.
Over the past years Famous Friends Of Cannabis has collected cannabis related stories and news facts from over 1000 public and well known contemporary and historical figures, including actors and singers, royalty, musicians, writers and physicians, sports figures, designers and engineers, politicians, pioneers, inventors and innovators and many other famous friends of cannabis.
