May 2006 - Florida State wide receiver Preston Parker was arrested In May, 2006. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana after he was arrested in Palm Beach Gardens the month before. Parker was placed on 12 months probation and was ordered by the court to do community service and undergo random drug testing.
He was allowed back on the FSU football team under a number of stipulations and penalties handed down by the school that included a two-game suspension and bi-weekly drug test.
After pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges in May, Parker's Palm Beach attorney Jason Weiss told reporters, "It's been made very clear to him, to his family, to me through the university that he's out of chances."
