1. Kevin Macdonald's New Film 'Marley'

Marley14 April 2012 - Kevin Macdonald has called Bob Marley "the most influential musician of the 20th century by far". The Life in a Day director's latest project is an documentary of the Jamaican reggae singer called Marley.

Kevin Macdonald, who directed films such as One Day in September, State of Play and The Last King of Scotland, traces Marley’s rise from humble beginnings to global stardom and a tragically early death at 36.

Along the way, he uncovers a man of many contradictions. He was a laid-back, spiritual character – yet he had the ambition to adapt his music to ensure worldwide popularity. A keep fit fanatic, who loved to play football with his band, he also smoked enormous amounts of cannabis as part of his Rastafarian beliefs.

MacDonald premiered last month at the documentary at SXSW film festival in Austin (Texas) alongside Marley’s children Karen and Ziggy.

2. One Love Shines Through in The House of Marley's Audio Collection

Throughout the life of Bob Marley one love reigned and it continues to mercy our world through the eco-friendly House of Marley audio company.

In memory of the legendary reggae singer The House of Marley designed a collection of eco-friendly, hemp-made headphones and boom boxes. Bob was a huge probationer of living off the Earth, and the music company is hoping to make him proud, according to his son, Rohan Marley.
"I want to make this world a better place," Marley told the International Business Times. "I'm a father, I want to give back and make sure there is something left for my children."
By creating cool, eco-friendly headphones, the company is doing its part, while also donating 5 percent of its profits to 1Love.org, the Marley family charity that focuses on peace.

On Tuesday The House of Marley unveiled a lot of new products at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show. The products from the House Of Marley have already seen great succes in 2011, but they expect to grow even further with its newest line.They are still in its infancy, but continues to expand and honor the name of Bob Marley in its own special way.

"We take seriously the responsibility that comes with applying the Marley name to any product, particularly audio equipment, and we are extremely pleased with the positive feedback we've received from all corners of the Earth to our initial collection of Marley headphones," Rohan Marley said.

Marley Family Stars At Rototom Sunsplash Reggae Festival 19 Aug 2011 - This year's 18th Sunsplash pays homage to the legendary reggae musician, Bob Marley on the 30th anniversary of his death with concerts by his wife Rita, backing singer in Bob Marley & The Wailers, and the most famous of his children including Ziggy and Stephen.

Stephen Marley will open the festival on the main stage, where Ska pioneers Toots and the Maytals and Jamaican dancehall star Mr. Vegas are also expected to play on the first night.

Over 300 bands and DJs playing reggae genres from roots to rocksteady and ragga to dub will be performing on six stages during a festival which mixes reggae music with social forums as well as African and Caribbean arts and culture.

The Marley's Design Hemp Made Gadgets6 Jan 2011 - Almost 30 years after reggae legend Bob Marley's death, his 11 children are trying to keep his legacy alive through a range of music gadgets including boom boxes, iPod docks and headphones.

Made of sustainable materials such as hemp, wood, leather and canvas, the Marley-branded products were unveiled at an event in Las Vegas before the official opening of the Consumer Electronics Show.

Celebrities including rap star Dr. Dre and Lady GaGa have lent their names to a raft of technology products in recent years but Marley's son, Rohan, insisted in an interview with this website that this was more than a cynical cash grab. He said the family was integral in designing the products.

Bob Marley's Daughter On Probation For Growing Cannabis28 Oct 2010 - Bob Marley's youngest daughter has been sentenced to probation for growing marijuana at her Pennsylvania home after being arrested in 2008.

Makeda Jahnesta Marley was given the choice between a short term in prison or seven years probation requiring random drug tests and no contact from drug users.

If she violates this terms she could be sent to jail.
