31 May 2011 - Soap fans all over the United Kingdom were in shock this week following the arrest of one of television’s best loved stars. Eastenders actor Jody Latham was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of assault and possession of drugs.

The 28 year old, who is best known for playing Rob Grayson in the BBC drama, is being accused of growing and supplying cannabis. The arrest emerged following an incident in which a man suffered an eye injury during a brawl at Latham’s home. Police were called to the site at 3am in Bacup, Lancs.

Commenting on the arrest, a witness said that he saw a pink bike thrown from the house and heard great deal of shouting. “Two men then went round the back of the house and continued insulting each other”, he said. Jody’s Jack Russell must have escaped, he added, as the actor was heard “screaming and shouting for his dog”.
