21 June 2010 - Party of Five actor Jeremy London, a recovering addict, said he was kidnapped, held at gunpoint for 12 hours and forced to smoke marijuana and purchase and hand out alcohol on the streets during an ordeal in Palm Springs, California. According to Palm Springs Police Department Sergeant Steve Douglas, London, 37, was changing a flat tire on his car at 2 p.m. on June 10, when a group of men stopped to assist him. After the tire was changed, London offered the men a ride home.
12 Feb 2010 - He was a guest in Cheech & Chong Smoke Out last october where he said: "I think there could be a way where it (marijuana) can be allowed, regulated, taxed and looked at as a positive for California in a place where we're giving out IOUs, baby!"
He also had them as guests in his show Lopez Tonight where they talked about how to get marijuana legal.
Peter Lewis is an advocate of taxing and regulating the use and sale of marijuana and is one of the main financial backers of the recent, partially successful, campaign to legalize the use of marijuana for medical use in the U.S.
In January 2000, Mr. Lewis was arrested and charged in New Zealand for possession of marijuana. Lewis pleaded guilty to three charges and paid a substantial fine, though under New Zealand law he was not required to serve time in jail or prison. According to his lawyer, Marie Dyhrberg, Lewis used the marijuana on the advice of his doctor for pain relief after the partial amputation of his leg in 1998. He donated $3,000,000 to Marijuana Policy Project in 2007.
16 Oct 2009 - Colombian musician and peace activist César López has been charged with marijuana possession.
Police in central Pennsylvania say they've nabbed a real pothead. They said an officer spotted 29-year-old César López inside a convenience store with a bag of marijuana stuck to his forehead. Investigators said López, the also creator of the escopetarra (a working guitar made from pieces of a weapon and guitar) was seen peering inside his baseball cap early Saturday morning in Lebanon, about 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
