Since the opening in 1985 of the Hash marihuana & Hemp Museum in Amsterdam, almost a million people have visited this permanent exhibition. Each year, some 75,000 people from all parts of the world come to this exceptional cultural and knowledge centre in Amsterdam, in the heart of the Red-Light District. The museum is completely dedicated to the cannabis plant and its many uses. museum is unique in the world. Ben saw the advantages of hemp farming early on, and went on to establish the HempFlax Corporation. At that time, the Dutch hemp industry was in its infancy. Ben wanted to display the combination of both old and new hemp technology in all its aspects. He hired Chris Conrad and Mikki Norris to redesign the Hash Museum.
