23 May 2013 - Last Monday seventeen year old rapper Chief Keef was arrested. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Chief Keef,
whose real name is Keith Cozart, was taken into custody for allegedly smoking
marijuana at an upscale Atlanta hotel.
Chief Keef became a sensation in 2012 after catching the attention of fellow rapper and producer Kanye West. His debut studio album features guest appearances of 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa and has sold over 152,000 copies in the U.S.
Initially mr Cozart, was arrested for disorderly conduct, but a police report later specified that marijuana was involved. This isn’t Chief Keef's first run in with the law, the rapper has been arrested at least twice before - in January of 2011 for heroin manufacture distribution, which landed him on house arrest, and again in December of that year for aggravated assault with a weapon.
After his release on Monday, Cozart wrote on Twitter "Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County jail In Atlanta Mad As f**k." The "I Don't Like" rapper didn't appear to be shocked by the addition to his record - on Tuesday he joked with Twitter followers about how quickly his booking photo made rounds online.
16 May 2013 - Tommy Chong who was diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer
last June told CelebStoner he has beaten his cancer thanks in large part to a
hash oil treatment he received from a Canadian doctor.
On his CelebStoner blog Mr Chong tells about the Canadian Dr.
McKinnon in Victoria, BC who made him change his diet and put him on
supplements. He also treated the condition with hemp oil (hash oil). After the diet, the supplements and the hash oil,
plus a session with a world-renowned healer, the Grammy Award-winning comedian says he’s cured
of cancer and he feels the best he felt in years.
Next to the beneficial aspects of Marijuana Tommy Chong also
thinks it could give a great boost to the U.S. economy. In a recent interview with CBS News, Chong talked
about how legalizing marijuana could solve the country's fiscal problems.
"Look at the
situation we're in now. Sequesters. Cuts. Everything cut across the board. Now,
the government is tapped into the biggest cash crop in the world,"
Chong said. "There's little
manufacturing cost. You don't have to do anything except watch it grow and get
a couple of hippies to cut it and then put it in a bag."
Tommy Chong isn't the only one who sees marijuana as a
solution for America's budget problems. Carl Davis, senior analyst at the
Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy recently told The Huffington Post
that legalization may affect supply and demand in unknown ways, but increased
revenue for the government is virtually guaranteed.
