16 Aug 2006 - Rapper Lil' Wayne was arrested on Monday after police officers found more than one illegal substance in his hotel room.

The 23-year-old artist was absent from his place of residence, when a hotel employee entered his room to check the security system. He later told the police that he saw a 'gallon-size bag' of marijuana and some unlabeled bottles of pills, while a 'heavy odor of marijuana' could still be sensed in the room. He called the manager of the establishment, who confirmed the employee's version.

The two were still inside the room when the rapper returned and politely asked them to get out. The police arrived a few minutes later and Carter let them in willingly but he and his male companion were clearly under the influence, reports say.

Police says they found a bottle containing 60 pills of Alprazolama (used for anxiety disorders and panic attacks), another one with 59 hydrocodone pills and 'two small burnt joint of marijuana'. The only thing that was not found was the big bag of Weed.
